Happy Holidays fit20 UK

Despite the challenges we have faced in 2021, UK fit20 studios have seen an unprecedented growth in studio membership, which is up nearly 50% on pre-lockdown highs. Today, fit20 has over 19,000 members across 12 countries.

We are super excited about the year ahead and look forward to welcoming many more new members to our studios.

Here are a couple of tips to keep healthy and happy over the festive period:

  1. Eat mindfully
Don't rush your food as it takes time for the 'I'm full' signal to reach your brain. Try taking a 10-minute break after your first helping as you might realize that you are full or want a smaller second portion. Also, don't got to a party on an empty stomach.
  2. Stay hydrated
If you're consuming alcoholic beverages over the holidays, try alternating with glasses of water in between your cocktails. Your body will thank you the next morning!
  3. Keep active
Suggest going for walks especially after big meals. Or maybe do a home work out with the help of online videos.
  4. Boost your immune system
You can do this by eating a variety of colourful fruits and vegetables, adding a handful of nuts and seeds and by getting enough sleep. Shortchanging your sleep can alter your hormone levels in a way that encourages weight gain and cravings for less healthy food. Try to get the recommended seven to nine hours of sleep on most nights
  5. Make time for self-care
Don't let the holiday madness take a toll on your mental and emotional health. Whether you're caught up in cooking, holiday shopping or socializing, don't put your needs on the back burner. Take some time off to relax and unwind go for a walk, meditate, watch your favorite movie or read a good book, do at least one thing every day that makes you truly happy.

And lastly, don't forget to enjoy yourself!

Wishing you and your loved ones safety, comfort, good health and all the joys of the season from everyone at fit20.
