We asked Danny to share his experience so far with fit20 and how it's changed his life.
Why did you decide to try fit20?
Myself and my brother - both ex fire service - decided we really needed to start doing some sort of exercise but found it very difficult to be going out walking everyday, both for the time and for the commitment to it.
What differences have you noticed since joining fit20?
Lots of differences! I played rugby for 24 years so I’ve got arthritis in my neck, my knees and everywhere. I’ve found fit20 has helped with everything, especially things like going up and down stairs.
What do you like most about your training?
It’s only 20 minutes per week - fantastic!
We don’t worry about coming, even though it’s very hard work when we’re here. We do enjoy it and knowing that we’ve done it for a week and then you just feel the benefit of it in everyday life.
Why do you think fit20 works so well for you?
It’s just that I can come and do the 20 minutes. We wouldn’t do it without the encouragement from our Personal Trainer that we get every week. And it really keeps us stuck in to it. It’s that help that really makes the difference.
What would you say to someone thinking about giving fit20 a try?
Just try it for a couple of months. If you‘re not sure about signing up for a long period just try it and feel the difference it makes. You’ll just want to come back and keep doing it, because you feel fitter and stronger every time you come.
